Discussion

As found in the previous section, the wavelet methods better preserve the solution at the center of symmetry. Otherwise, the wavelet and Acousmod2d algorithms are comparable. We find the $D16$ wavelet algorithm at $N=256$ is slightly faster than the Acousmod2d algorithm at $N=512$.
